Deep Listening and Gentle Touch

Lead Teacher: Allison Post

Course Title
Deep Listening and Gentle Touch

Course Info

Please join us for three days of nurturing inherent health and vitality in yourself and others.

Together we will find a still and receptive place within ourselves that will allow us to deepen our perception and grow our relational skills.

Each day will include guided embodiment meditations and movement that will touch in to the rhythms and patterns of flow in our own bodies. By slowing down our breath and sensing in, we will find a neutral and intuitive way of relating. We sense our own and our partner’s fluid and connective tissue, and allow a natural movement towards stillness and healing.

We will learn gentle hands-on holds with a partner, establishing a safe and non-invasive touch that dips in to the energy that flows between our head and sacrum, pulsing through the fascia in our bodies.

It is with this deep listening and gentle touch, while finding a neutral tone in ourselves, that we set the intention to allow our partner’s body to shift into a more restful and nourishing state. This will bring ease, relax the nervous system, and encourage an intimate sense of well being as we make contact with our true selves.

This work is based on biodynamic craniosacral therapy and whole-body breathwork, and it can be learned and utilized by anyone in any venue.

Included in the class is free access to Allison’s online Dynamic Body Program, a video series of craniosacral-based qigong and a three-part audio series of guided body explorations.

About Allison:

Allison was born and raised in New York City and spent much of her youth involved in music, dance and theater arts. At the age of 19 she was beset with a challenging illness that persisted for many years. Because conventional medicine was not offering solutions, she began to explore the vast world of alternative therapies. Inspired by nutrition, exercise, meditation and yoga, Allison began to share what she learned and found deep delight in providing support and helping others.

Her curiosity has encouraged her to continuously study while she taught others. Breathing practice, meditation, healing and movement traditions from around the world still inspire her. Allison’s explorations have included Somatic Psychology, Hypnotherapy, Asian and Western Bodywork, Chi Nei Tsang Internal Organ Massage, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, Ayurveda and Yoga, Functional Medicine and Health Coaching and many lineages of Craniosacral Therapy.

Allison’s specialty is to listen. She draws upon the deep wells of modern and traditional medical wisdom to encourage balance and joy in everyday life.
